ABOUT THE APPLICATION PROCESS:
You will be immediately directed to Linda’s scheduling link. It’s highly recommended that you take the first available appointment, as Inspired Living Publishing’s™ projects fill quickly.
Prior to your Zoom video call, Linda will review your application and visit your website and social media profile to prepare for the call. During your 20-minute call she’ll answer the questions you submitted about the project and any others that arise when she shares the project with you.
She may have some questions of her own to be sure the project aligns for both of you. If it does, she will extend a sacred invitation to join the project or make some recommendations to prepare you for the next project.
Yes, our project is open to women on the path of self-discovery who have a dream to become a published author. During your call with Linda, she will explain some of the nuances of the project and together you’ll decide if the project aligns with the vision in your heart.
WRITING & EDITORIAL QUESTIONS:
No. Over two hundred women have gone through our supportive self-paced Authentic Storytelling™ training and have found their writing voice.
As with all publishing and media projects, meeting your deadlines is critical.
- If you join the project before March 20th your first draft is due by April 30th,2024.
- If you join the project after March 21st your first draft is due by May 17th, 2024.
You’ll need to be available April – June to turn around your edits and story revisions within 7-10 days of receipt.
Following the Authentic Storytelling™ trainings will ensure that you have a story that aligns with our publishing guidelines.
Yes, your first draft goes through a Story Content and Development review, which is the first step in the process. You will receive feedback and suggestions to make your story more powerful. You will have about ten business days to resubmit your story changes.
In most cases, your story then enters the Line Editing Review stage. The editor goes through your story line by line adjusting as needed to make the story as strong as possible and to maintain the integrity of the book’s theme and our editorial style.
You’ll then receive a final draft to review and approve for layout.
Yes, you own your story. Per your publishing agreement your story must be original and unpublished and cannot be released in any format (print or digital) prior to the release of the book, and until 90 days after the Oct. 29th, 2024 book launch.
After the 90-day postlaunch window, you can distribute your story as desired. However, Inspired Living Publishing™ retains first publication rights, and can use your story, as well as excerpts and quotes for book marketing and promotional purposes. (Great visibility!)
miscellaneous:
As a coauthor in a collaborative project, ALL authors are required to promote the book’s release during the October 29,th 2024 bestseller campaign to bring the book to the top of the bestseller lists.
Promotional support includes two solo emails. The first is to be sent early morning on October 29th, 2024 and the second solo email on Nov. 1st, 2024. Robust social media support is required October 29th – Nov. 8th, 2024.
